PalmettoNet has completed the installation of nearly 30 miles of fiber optic cable to serve the Greenville, S.C. market. The ring connects downtown, south on 385, and then south on 85 and Millennium Drive, then north on Hwy 25 back to downtown. Three major access points of interest are 301 Main Street, AT&T's Greenville Dial and Toll Central Office and AT&T's Woodruff Road Central Office.

"We've been serving Greenville for almost 25 years and saw the need for providing a fiber ring to facilitate the growth of carriers and CLECs requiring high-bandwidth capacity. It will support the leading edge companies moving to the area and help further differentiate Greenville as a high-tech center of business," said Grey Humphrey, President of PalmettoNet.

"We'll continue to invest in Greenville and in South Carolina because we believe the economic environment is conducive to business expansion. It's a great place to do business," Humphrey said.
